Incorrectly linked structure-root functions and characteristics

Explanation:

A search will be performed for functions and characteristics anchored at the structure root, which are linked (in direction of effects) to functions and characteristics of the same structure.
Structure-spanning function-net links are not considered.

Example:

  • The above structure consists of four system elements (system element), each of which have a different amount of functions (function), product characteristics (Product characteristic) and process characteristics (Process characteristic) assigned.
  • If the display option hot-click icon “Function net” is active (e.g. function net both), it is possible to see in which direction the functions and characteristics are linked in the function net. These icons allow us to visually analyze what this Quality Rule will find.
  • If a function or characteristic is linked in the direction of effects in the function net, the icon that will appear will either be (function net both) or (function net left).

Of the six functions and characteristics that exist at the root element, three are linked in the direction of effects. These IQ-objects are TFn2, TFn3 and PrC1.
