Incorrectly linked structure-root failures

Explanation:

A search will be performed for failures anchored at functions at the structure root and are linked with failures (in direction of effects) of the same structure.

Note: structure-spanning failure net links will not be considered in the search

Example:

  • The above structure consists of four system elements (system element), each with different amounts of failures (failure) assigned.
  • With the display option hot-click icon “Failure nets” active, it is possible to see how the failures are linked in the failure net (e.g. failure net both). These icons allow us to visually analyze what this Quality Rule will deliver.
  • If a failure is linked in direction of effects in the failure net then the hot-click icon will be either (failure net both) or (Failure net right).

Of the four top failures (TF) at the root element, two are linked in the direction of effects. These are TF2 and TF3.
